This is a very minimal introduction to databases and is more of an introduction to this playlist and what it means to write programs to retrieve, create and update data on a database server. Databases run the internet and is something that many students take for granted and don't think about. I've been designing, implementing and programming databases (DB2, IMS, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL server, and many more) for at least 40 years. Yes, I said 40 years.
