This video was a test of an idea i had in my head over the past few days. I wanted to make some type of droning chord and explore using 2 delay lines for chorusing or other effects. Here its just a simple A minor chord using oscs 1, 2, and 3, but later ill try making more interesting chords. I use a 1-step sequence to sync the drone to the start button. Because it is a drone you don't really need the vca or filter envelopes. However i wanted to see if i could use envelope 3 for modulation. This is because even though you have 4 lfos on the evolver, they can go quick. So i wanted to see if i could "free up" one of the lfos that would have been used to modulate one of the delay lines by using envelope 3 instead. In this setup/patch, the vca and filter envelopes are turned to 0. But the envelopes are still triggering (trigger select settings on row 7.) This is how it is able to be a drone, while still potentially taking advantage of the envelope/envelopes for modulation. Envelope 3 is routed to the 2nd delay line here. Adjusting the envelope amount in real time while it is playing is a little steppy, but otherwise it works better than i anticipated. There are several factors involved from the delay times, delay levels, feedback and modulation amounts. But there are a range of effects to be explored and many "sweetspots." I didn't show how envelope 3 is tied to which steps are ON or OFF in the sequencer but you can kinda hear its effect hear some still. I didnt realize it until uploading, but i should have trimmed a second or two off the beginning.
