So this is playing over a drum pattern "Dawr Hindi" I learned from Joseph Tayoun. Being in 7, it gives more chance to interact and play off the rhythm. The guitar has enough velocity in places that it becomes more gesture or flow. It cycles and loops and weaves back and forth and forward and sideways and around and its just motion, like a bird on the wing or a fish in water or a dancer and that's how I see this kind of style. It elevates up into a different kind of dynamic energy. I never know how to describe this genre, sort of like Django meets George Benson and John McLaughlin.
