Ingredients Prep Time:10minutes mins Cook Time:4hours hrs Total Time:4hours hrs 10minutes mins Ingredients 2 racks of baby back ribs or flat ribs 1 tablespoon smoked paprika 1 tablespoon smoked chilli powder ½ cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 cup barbecue sauce Instructions Preheat oven to 250°F Line a large baking sheet or roasting pan with aluminum foil. If needed, remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding your fingers under it to loosen, then pull it off. Use a paper towel for a better grip if it feels slippery. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon onion, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon ground mustard. Rub the dry spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, ensuring an even coating. Rub brown sugar on one side of the ribs' top. Place the seasoned ribs in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet or roasting pan. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the oven. Bake for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is starting to pull away from the bones. Remove the ribs from the oven and place them on a lined sheet pan. Here is where you can place them in the fridge until the time for cooking or cook them right away. Oven Method Brush a generous layer of barbecue sauce over the ribs. Turn the oven to broil. Place the ribs back into the oven under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce bubbles and caramelizes. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Grille Method Place ribs back side down for 3 minutes, then turn over, cook for 2 minutes Place the sauce, then turn for 2 minutes, then flip and sauce Cook 2 minutes, then pull off the cut and enjoy!
