By the end of this video, you will: Load the C-130J in ModelViewer2 Open the Livery Browser Generate a working description.lua automatically This workflow applies to every aircraft, not just the C-130J challenge. IMPORTANT: If you missed the previous lesson where we configured ModelViewer2 to see your Saved Games liveries, pause this video and watch that first. You need it. Steps covered: Load a 3D model (File → Load Model, or CTRL+N) Find models here: DCS World installation folder → CoreMods → aircraft → your aircraft → Shapes Load the pilot model (example: c130_pilot) and learn fast inspection controls: Left click + drag: rotate Right click: zoom Middle click + drag: pan Use lighting controls (Sun / Rain / Env) and read the Log View for missing texture errors Load the main aircraft model: Sort by Size (descending) Biggest file is usually the aircraft Open the livery browser (CTRL+L) Left column: select C130J-30 Right column: pick a livery (example: Delta Air Lines) Click “Generate Livery File” to create description.lua Install it correctly: Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\C-130J-30\c130-test\description.lua Confirm it worked by opening the generated description.lua (it’s huge, but simple) Next video: we break down the lua logic so you understand what that big file is actually doing.
