Designed in the mid 70's for the mi-24 hind, the UPK gunpods found it's use on fixed wing aircraft's including the mig-21. The twin barreled autocannons carries 250 rounds of ammunition enough for roughly 4 seconds of fire. It is most useful against soft targets like infantry, trucks and light armored vehicles. because of it's simplicity and cheapness it is still used today.
