This project started from hearing about a sister’s pregnancy. It made pregnancy feel close in a new way. Along with that came mixed feelings: fear, wonder, and even a subtle longing toward new life. Instead of judging pregnancy as simply positive or negative, the project stays with that conflict. It looks at how pregnancy can hold tenderness, pressure, and consequence at the same time. It also connects to how many young women experience pregnancy now, especially in a digital space filled with stories about pain, risk, and lasting changes to the body and life.
