Dear Stranger
Dear Stranger is an augmented reality application that lets you place messages in a real environment. With Dear Stanger, anyone can use the app to post a single message per day. You can also read the messages posted by other strangers and share them using Twitter. With this app we wanted to connect people with each other through messages, spread across time, and hidden in plain sight. The app was developed in three days during the Visual Design Week of 2014 in Breda as part of a competition called Hack The Park! Because of the augmented reality nature of the application, it only works on the sign shown in the video which can be found in Breda. Unfortunately, the application is no longer operational. The application was made by Elwin Verploegen and Tino van der Kraan of SassyBot Studio in collaboration with Mattia Traverso.
