In this video, I install all the joists for my deck. I use both standard external flange joist hangers and concealed flange joist hangers. In order to box-in my window wells, I also install a number of double joists - in-part to support shorter, intermediate joists, but also to support window well covers that I will fabricate later.
Near the end, I install a lone joist on the west-end of the deck, using a unique, custom bracket that I had previously fabricated in order to accommodate one of my design challenges. I also attach the remaining to brackets to concrete footings.
In the next video, I will fabricate a custom welded railing.
