At this point some of the liquid mud which had been flung by Stu's stuck duallies ran back into the ruts. Stu tried as hard as he could to get out, even using the brakes at the end of each run to get more momentum. He couldn't do it; his inherent poor traction kept him trapped. He was well and truly STUCK.
