As of March 31st, the EPA has formally approved ProMax as an alternative to GLYCalc under 40 CFR 63, Subpart HH. ProMax is the only process simulator that is accepted as an alternative test method after completing a multi-year approval process with the EPA. The EPA’s determination in ALT-147 makes it clear that ProMax closely matches laboratory data for dehydration systems and often produces more conservative emissions estimates when compared to GLYCalc.
To celebrate the achievement, we created this tutorial for the ProMax Dehydration Tool – a tool designed for helping users easily and accurately predict emissions from glycol dehydrators. The ProMax Dehydration Tool allows you to model several facilities at a time from a simple Excel interface. It generates a concise emissions report for each facility that is easy for users and state agencies to understand.
