This includes vetting components, utilizing secure component verification via cloud-based private keys, and maintaining a rigorous software development lifecycle that includes a software bill of materials to prevent vulnerabilities across the portfolio. Furthermore, Dell focuses on both security and resilience, noting that organizations often over-invest in perimeter defense while under-funding recovery capabilities. To address this, they guide customers toward a "better together" strategy that integrates Dell's inherent product security features with specialized third-party partner solutions to reduce attack surfaces, accelerate threat detection, and streamline recovery processes. The presentation also explores emerging challenges, specifically the integration of AI workloads and the looming threat of quantum computing.
