Design For Manufacturing (DFM)
Speaker: Aldo De Michiel | Duration ca. 30 min incl. Q&A Design For Manufacturing (DFM) is the practice of considering the manufacturability of a new product during the design phase. DFM plays a critical part in the whole lifecycle of the component. It is important to consider how the part is going to be manufactured from the early stage of the development. The later we look into it, the more difficult and expensive to optimize the design. In this presentation, we will highlight the key points that need to be considered to optimize reliability, cost and leadtime. The intention is not to give a golden set of rules for best manufacturability, but rather rise some questions to ask ourselves when we are designing a transformer. Although it is good to follow some basic principles, it is better to analyze case by case and chose the optimal tradeoff. We encourage our customers to involve us as early as possible into the development of new components. #design #components #developement Follow Würth Elektronik on: Facebook group: http://www.we-online.com/facebook-we-group Facebook karriere: http://www.we-online.com/facebook-we-karriere Instagram group: http://www.we-online.com/instagram/we_group Instagram karriere: http://www.we-online.com/instagram-we-karriere LinkedIn: http://www.we-online.com/linkedin Twitter: http://www.we-online.com/twitter TikTok: http://www.we-online.com/tiktok XING: http://www.we-online.com/xing YouTube: http://www.we-online.com/youtube More details about Würth Elektronik eiSos : Würth Elektronik (we-online.com) Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction 01:14 Presentation 22:58 Questions and Answers
