In this part 4 of workshop (total 5 parts) we will create the 2D surface on XY plane. We will also ensure that it is on positive XY plan
The use of this surface is in the 2D simulation of same case in CFD. Which can help us to quickly understand the effect of this bend on overall flow. Why quickly? Because in 2D we can create very fine mesh and still at the same we can solve this cases within minutes or maximum in hours. So we check many designs before moving to 3D case.
Also you can make the mesh independence study in 2D quickly and for 3D case you have to only refine the mesh in 3rd dimension.
