\\ Designing Space // JOIN NOW!
The USSPACECOM Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) recently launched an effort exploring how to encourage innovation using 'design thinking.' In response, a number of designers and educators, both in and out of the DoD, came together to create a virtual educational experience, "Designing Space." We are looking for a diverse group of high potential individuals who are willing to be creative, vulnerable, and collaborative. The 'learners' (i.e. students) will work in teams of 5-6 that are coached by two 'lead learners' who are experienced in workshop facilitation. The time commitment is a combination of synchronous and asynchronous meetings and will average approximately 7 hours total for each of the 3 weeks (14 Sept-1 Oct). The general topics will include leadership, diversity and inclusion, and spacepower in the context of great power competition. Learners will present their ideas directly to the SIG in the final week. Join us as we pioneer a new Design for Space.
