We've all done it. Get started with a game project and get a fun little prototype going, all to get hung up on scenes full of messy, interconnected scripts. Touch one thing, and three things break. Let's talk about how to avoid this fate. To make life easier, I've decided to set up a clean, adaptable, extendable and reusable system for my Unity game project based on ScriptableObjects. While the setup is a bit of a task, it pays vast dividends when the project stays simple even as the scope grows.
