Talk Summary
In this talk, Matt describes drivers for MV-LV distribution network modelling and the practicalities of building and working with these models. The structure of the MV-LV network models developed with Supergen Energy Networks hub (link below) will be described, as well as MV-LV network analysis approaches, including those being used in the could-based EVENT tool with the e4future V2G project. The talk will go into the distribution network structure and how this is exploited in the model’s hierarchical formulation, specifics of the formulation to enable usability (using Python and OpenDSS languages), and further applications and developments for these types of MV-LV models.
