Developing Processes Through Exploration - Artist Talk

This is a video of my first artist talk at the Magnolia Art Xchange on July 18, 2024. I talk about my background and and how I discovered my love for painting during the pandemic. After finally sharing my art in a gallery show back in November 2022, where I won "Best in Show" prize I decided to pursue art as more than a hobby. Over the next 9 months I would experiment and explore with watercolors. Eventually I would develop a process that has gained a lot of attention through the sharing of process videos on Instagram. During this talk I do a demonstration and discuss how the process evolved, as well as what inspires me. I also talk about the paper weaves I've created out of discarded paintings that are the subject of my first solo exhibition.
