DEVELOPING THE SGP CONCEPT NOTE AND PROPOSAL - KEY PROJECT COMPONENTS

This session introduces participants to the main components required to develop a strong project proposal for the GEF Small Grants Programme in Guyana. It explains the key elements that should be included in a project, such as the problem statement, project objectives, expected outcomes, activities, work plan, budget, beneficiaries, partnerships, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability plan. Participants will learn how each component contributes to a clear, practical, and fundable project design. The session will also help participants understand how to connect proposed activities to GEF focal areas, community needs, environmental benefits, and measurable results. It is designed to support community groups, civil society organisations, and local stakeholders in preparing well-structured project ideas that
