This year 52 Google Developer Groups in India have come together to organize a Code Concert for developers with diverse backgrounds on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of October 2021 - called DEVFEST INDIA 2021. Schedule of Day 2: https://devfestindia.com/schedule Track Details and Resources: Mobile: Welcome to session 2 of the Mobile track, which is Titled as “Using Jetpack Compose in your Android applications” - In this session, you'll learn what is Jetpack compose, its benefits over traditional Android UI toolkit, how to build basic UI components like Text, Image, Button, Layout and Lists using composable functions, how to apply material theme to the UI. You'll also learn to make use of Jetpack navigation components for navigating between different Composable screens and leveraging single-activity architecture with Jetpack Compose. You will also learn commonly asked interview questions at the end of the session. Machine learning: Titled as “Image Classification using TensorFlow Hub and Neural network Compression Techniques” - In this session, you will learn about the commonly used neural network compression techniques and how to leverage pre-trained models on TF Hub for Image Classification. You will also explore how you can use the pre-trained models to retrain it on your custom dataset. In the end, you will also learn frequently asked interview questions and best practices to answer them. We will also share about a framework to optimize the user experience of your site and prevent further regressions leveraging the tools available from Google. You will also learn frequently asked interview questions and best practices to answer them. Brownie Session: “An Ultimate Guide to Build Tech Resume” : In this session, you'll learn about building tech resume, wherein we will learn a lot of things and best practices that you should consider while building your resume and the things that you should keep in mind while applying for the job or sharing your resume across your network. Also, what all activities you should start doing and building stuff right from your college. Flutter: “Selecting the right widget from the alternatives” : In this session, you will learn to tackle complex UIs and how to define their declarative structure easily in code and you will also explore the variety of widgets available in Flutter and how to effectively choose the right one. You will also learn frequently asked interview questions and best practices to answer them. Cloud: “Introduction to Google Kubernetes Engine'': In this session, you will explore and understand the fundamentals behind Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), How it runs under the hood, what are the building blocks and when exactly you should use GKE. Also get to know by a live demo on Cluster setup, auto-scaling and how other GCP services integrate and also weave a layer of security around apps that run in GKE. In the end you also take a few standard interview questions that will help upskill you.
