This is an introductory video of using a Matlab based DIC program (Author: Christoph Eberl) to get displacement data.
The images are from a three point bending experiment performed on a styrofoam sample, and recorded with a video camera. The video obtained was then split into images, which were then batch processed in GIMP.
This work is being done at Texas A&M University, College Station by Nitin Suares, under the supervision of Dr. Arun Srinivasa.
