The output of discrete time system is calculated using equation of linear convolution. In this video we are discussing difference equation which are useful to implement discrete time system. Difference equations are specially used for designing the digital filter. Depending on the length of impulse response there are two types of discrete time systems:
Finite impulse Response (FIR)
Infinite Impulse Response (IIR)
Depending on the initial conditions two types of response are obtained:
1. Zero State Response or Forced Response
2. Zero Input Response or Natural Response
The solution of Difference equation is the sum of both the above response.
