Differential Fluid Performance in RC vehicles

The most common differential type in RC is the spider gear type. The differential operates differently with different weighted oils. An open differential or one that has no viscous fluid in it will allow all motor or engine power to be routed to the tire with the least resistance. This means all the power potential you have will travel to the wrong wheel. In most RC applications, this is not desired. My recommendation based on my personal driving style in light 1/8 and 1/10 RC cars is to use: 7k cSt in the front differential. 10k cSt in the center differential 5k cSt in the rear differential Divide by 9 to convert from cSt to wt. ποΈ Differential Performance Article: ποΈ https://www.radiocontrolinfo.com/differential-performance-in-rc-vehicles/ π§π»βπ§ A Basic Guide to Tuning your RC Suspension π§π»βπ§ https://youtu.be/FP1PYg3To6U ποΈ RC Gearing Explained ποΈ https://youtu.be/z8QJ347hW0k ποΈ Gear Mesh Article: ποΈ https://www.radiocontrolinfo.com/how-set-gear-mesh-rc-car-3-easy-steps/ ποΈ Ordering from Amazon?
