Tuning differentials in BeamNG is no simple task, so I took it upon myself to sort out why. Let me know you think, or if you found any helpful tips that make tuning differentials any easier. To reduce locking inside wheel under braking increase preload torque. To reduce understeer in high-speed corners increase your coast locking rate. To reduce lift off oversteer on corner entry, decrease coast locking rate. To reduce inside wheel spin on corner exit increase power locking rate. To reduce wheel spin on throttle, decrease your power locking rate. For RWD cars (Rear Differentials), To reduce understeer in high/low-speed corners reduce coast and preload torque. To reduce lift off oversteer increase your coast and preload torque. To reduce oversteer on throttle, decrease your power locking rate. To reduce inside wheel spin on throttle increase your power locking rate. For AWD cars (Center Differentials), To reduce understeer in low-speed corners, reduce coast and preload torque. To reduce lift off oversteer, increase coast locking rate. To reduce Oversteer on corner exit, increase power locking rate. To reduce uneven wheel spin on launch, push the base torque split to whichever side didn’t break traction. You want both to break at the same time.
