When making videos I often notice my shots lack the correct lighting, so I decided I would buy some studio lights to enhance the quality of my footage. However after looking on Amazon I came to the conclusion that most photography equipment is overpriced, and I knew I already had the necessary parts to make the lights myself, so that's exactly what I proceeded to do.
The thin metal tripod/stand that holds up the apparatus was repurposed from an old sheet music stand. The upper section of the light is simply press fit in between the bolts which allows adjustment in height. I have not yet noticed any more fastening is necessary as the whole arrangement is quite "light"
