Introduction to programming a DMM in Visual Studio. http://www.agilent.com/find/34461A Using the 34460A and 34461A programming examples, this video illustrates how to get started with programming Agilent DMMs or any Agilent SCPI based instrument. Using C#, we cover the usage of VisaCom, best practices in programming instrument including Try/Catch/Finally and a DMM Error catching function. We do a live run of the Basic Functions programming example for Truevolt DMMs to show some basic debugging techniques. In this video, we configure the DMM for Voltage, Current, Resistance, Frequency, and Temperature. Many of these techniques can be used with either the C# or VB.net Truevolt programming examples.
