Dinosaur Stomp - high quality
And now, I present to you the most popular song from SimTunes: Dinosaur Stomp! The Bugz sounds pan left and right depending on where they are. Unfortunately, HyperCam was not able to capture the visualization animations correctly, for some reason. Instead of changing to match the color of the dot they travel over, they just stay the same color. No matter; the important thing here is the sound. I used HyperCam, Audacity, Windows Movie Maker, and the Windows XP advanced volume control tool to operate the stereo pan/balance of the Line In channel. This means that I recorded each of the four Bugz separately. Fun stuff! Information is still the same. This was written, drawn, and created by Benimaru Itoh, the same guy who drew the 1992 Nintendo Power Star Fox comics. Bugz used are Yellow Keys, Ace, Horatio, and Sticks (piano, electric guitar, baritone saxaphone, and drums) From the SimTunes Gallery Profiles document: "Benimaru Itoh is a Japanese comic artist. His comics 'Star Fox' ('92-'93) and 'Metroid' ('94), based on Nintendo video games became very popular on Nintendo Power in the United States. He is currently working as an art director of a Nintendo 64 real-time 3-D role-playing game. Benimaru used be a professional guitar player as well, and owns over 250 guitars. He is friends with many musicians, including Ry Cooder and David Lindley." [Note: I did some research at MobyGames.com, and the only game Benimaru was credited for after 1996 that could match "N64" and "real-time RPG" is "Pokémon Trading Card Game", and I don't even think that's a game. On the same page, he is also credited on Earthbound, Star Fox 64, and Super Smash Bros., plus some more recent stuff.]
