Dirk Geiger - Closer

From Connected Worlds (Tympanik Audio TA086). I really loved the atmosphere in this track, mixing electronic elements like steady basslines and breaks/cuts peculiar to IDM, but with a lot of organic sounds in the percussions and strings, and above all the ethereal voice carrying the whole track. There is a nice build-up during more than three minutes and a half, leaving a break to a solo for the echoing voice, ultimately resulting in an explosion of sounds and colors until the end. Because that's what this track reminded me at first, the color feast in India also called Holi. A debauchery of happiness, of light, of optimism, a debauchery of pure emotions where you can unplug from all your daily troubles for a moment, and only enjoy a bath of shouts and infinite variations of shades having all their very own significations. Orange for optimism. Green for harmony. Red for joy and love. Blue for vitality. Now just close your eyes and mix all these tints while listening to Closer, and I hope you will feel as good as me at this moment ; it is for this kind of shared instants that I talk about the music I love with you.
