Disabled Nazis?
Have you heard about the Disabled Nazis? RBK was a disability rights organization that was a part of the Nazi party. It had its own publications, leadership structure, and sub-groups—including Hitler Youth. They taught that disability was a cost on society that could be reduced through assimilation. That disabled people could overcome their limitations through determination. That inclusion was earned, not a right. Two years after RBK was disbanded, the T4 program began. Over 300,000 disabled people were murdered during the Holocaust. You can still hear the same arguments today—about worth, about overcoming, about who deserves accommodations and the costs of disability. RFK Jr. Greg Abbott.
