The disc clarifier is used for separating solids out of the liquid.
The feed containing the liquid and the solids is led into the feeding pipe and then into the separator. The solids are collected in the periphery of the rotating bowl and are discharged at preset intervals. The solid part is discharged from the separator through a hydrocychone, alternatively through an integrated solids pump. The clarified liquid is pumped out of the bowl by means of a built-in centripetal pump under pressure.
