Dispatch No 7 – Pattern Personality

One of the nicest parts of releasing a collection is watching people respond to it in ways you didn’t always expect. Over the past two months, we’ve been introducing new prints into the shop and seeing which pieces people are drawn towards. Quite often, it’s the bolder, stranger prints that people fall in love with first. At Palava, we’ve never really been interested in making generic prints. We’ve always preferred things that feel a little more playful, unusual, and full of personality. The sort of pieces that people connect with because they feel like an extension of themselves. Seeing customers try things on, surprise themselves, and choose something they might not normally wear is one of the most rewarding parts of the whole process. This film from Jack captures some of those moments, and the joy of watching the collection slowly find its people.
