Divorce Diagnosed

The widespread belief about divorce is that God hates it, and that and we should at all cost avoid this. First of all, God does not hate, God is love (1 John 4:8, not to mention the systematic theology of the said topic). Also, the common belief is based on Malachi 2:16, where a look at the Hebrew translation reveals a change in the tenses from Hebrew to English. Why does this matter? It reveals that while divorce is not God's perfect will but imperfect will, it was the only way to restore the disobedient to God after marrying foreign wives & not listening to God in the first place(in the examples in Nehemiah & Ezra).
