DIY Crop Top | Pattern Drafting and Sewing
This is a tutorial on how I made a crop top for my self sewn wardrobe. As always there are different way to approach this, this is my take on it. The pattern is made with knit stretch fabrics in mind aka jersey or ribbed stretch fabrics, hence no seam allowances. First the pattern is drafted and in different stages use your own desired values. Then the main parts are sewn together and the bottom hem and sleeve hem are sewn. At the end a simple neckline band is added. Next steps of making my own (basic) wardrobe is here. Materials: - knit fabrics e.g. ribbed jersey or normal jersey - twin needle - drafting tools e.g. curved ruler, normal ruler, campasses, pencil + eraser, pen, scissors, etc. Chapters: 00:00 - End result 00:09 - Materials 00:39 - Pattern body 05:13 - Pattern quick bust adjustment 06:39 - Pattern sleeve 09:34 - Sewing body and sleeve 11:59 - Sewing hem and neckline 15:04 - Done Music: A gentle breeze by Zakhar Valaha River of life by Zakhar Valaha (https://pixabay.com/users/good_b_music-22836301) (pixabay.com under Pixabay License)
