Why install floating islands?
Floating islands have been shown to produce multiple benefits to water sources; including
• Removing nutrients, metals and other contaminants from water source
• Providing habitats above and below the water
• The root system has the added advantage of supporting biofilms ie a symbiotic microorganisms ecosystem that have multiple benefits including coagulation of suspended particles to help clarify waterways
