This is an Amazon kit I picked up in the summer of 2022.
I was more excited for this than most of the other kits that I purchased, I mean, it's just cool. But I knew that I would have a hard time testing it because I have nothing radioactive handy!
Does this thing work? No idea!
I contacted the vendor about trying to get a replacement tube, but they stopped replying to my emails. I also asked them about the mechanics of the tube-- should it have continuity on both ends, etc. but they had no good answers for me.
Not sure I can recommend this kit. Certainly not if you are desperate for a way to measure or test for radioactivity!
