It was time to get Sophie into a big girl bed! We spent about $100 on the lumber, and we already had the paint from the bedside tables. Pretty simple and quick project, and could easily be accomplished by someone else in a weekend. Please let me know if you made something similar, saw something I could have done better, or want to share other ideas. Thanks for watching. This is the list of stuff I used as I can best recall: 3 8' 2x6 (frame) 2 8' 2x4 (ladder) 10 6' 1x4 (for slats) 1 2x3 (inside cleat) 1 6' oak 1x4 (long rail) 1 4' oak 1x4 (short rail) 2 4' oak 1x2 (rail supports) These Lag Screws for anchoring to the wall and for frame construction: https://www.homedepot.com/p/SPAX-1-4-in-x-3-1-2-in-T-Star-Drive-Washer-Head-Yellow-Zinc-Coated-POWERLAG-Screw-4581020700907/301068435 Regular 8x2 interior construction screws for the railing to the sides and the cleat Pocket Hole Screws for the ladder rungs. For the lights underneath, I used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JP5375R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We also used cabinet grade paint for the color, but I'm sure plenty of other stuff will work just fine.
