It has been a little while since I’ve posted an intermediate pattern and I know how much you enjoy them so here is another! It took a few tries to get this one to look the way I wanted it to but I got there in the end - hope you enjoy it! Thanks again for your likes, comments and support. Let’s get started. This design is made up of four diamonds. We will start with the diamond at the top in the middle. Cut 8 pieces of 3mm string, each piece is 2 meters in length. Fold each piece in half and attach to your dowel using Lark’s Head knots. Tie a double half hitch knot (dhhk) with the two middle cords. Tie 3 more dhhks working down and to the right. Repeat on the left side of your work. Tie another dhhk with the two middle cords. Tie 2 more dhhks on the right and then repeat on the left. Tie another dhhk with the two middle cords. Tie 1 more dhhk on the right and then on the left. Use the fifth cord from the left as your filler cord and tie 3 dhhks working down and to the right. Repeat on the right side of your work. Tie one more dhhk with the two middle cords to connect the two sides. Use the fourth cord from the left as your filler cord to start the diamond on the left. Tie 4 dhhks working down and to the right. Use the current fourth cord from the left and tie 3 dhhks working down and to the left. Tie a small diamond with in the first diamond by first tying a dhhk with the two cords in the middle of the diamond. Then tie one dhhk on the right and one on the left to make the top half of the diamond. Using the same filler cords tie one more dhhk on the left and then on the right. Tie one more dhhk with the two filler cords to connect the two sides. Use the outside left cord as your filler cord and tie 3 dhhks working down and to the right. Repeat on the right side of your work. Tie one more dhhk with the two filler cords to connect the two sides. Create another diamond using the same process on the right side of your work. Tie another diamond at the bottom of your work that is a mirror image of the top diamond. Follow along as I show you how to do this. Thanks so much for watching!
