But this size is only enough for this pattern. If you want a longer piece, you’ll need longer cords. Alternating Half Hitch Knot; • Take the first working cord and make a half hitch around the first holding cord: • Pass the working cord over and then under the holding cord, pulling it through the loop on the side. • Pull it tight to create a half hitch. • Now take the next working cord and do the same thing, but on the next holding cord, in the opposite direction (mirroring the previous knot). • Repeat the process, alternating the direction and position of each half hitch knot. This creates a zig-zag or wave-like pattern. • Continue the row until you reach the desired length or width.
