Making some rubber bushes to isolate the radiator of a 1916 Dennis fire engine.
The rubber used here is the 50 Shore "Polytek Poly PT Flex 50 Fast Cure" from mouldcraft.co.uk
Note that the bushes have only been fitted for a month or so at this point, have driven abut 250 miles and are relatively lightly-loaded. How well this would work in (for example) vehicle suspension I do not know.
Things I will change for next time:
1: Use off-the-shelf tube
2: Grit-blast the rings for better adhesion
3: For this particular application, make the bushes a loose push-fit. We had a late night and a bit of a panic fitting them.
