This is a step by step tutorial for a DIY simple butt joint drawer. I added drawers to some false fronts I had on my cabinets. We used bathroom vanity cabinets to build an island in my kitchen to make it more functional and add more storage but they each had a false front in the top drawer space. We finally have more storage like we wanted and the drawers work perfectly.
