Here I built a Vacuum casting set up that works for both perforated and solid flasks.
Cost:
Pump: $160
Flask: $134
High Temp silicone sheet: $15
Gasket maker: $5
Aluminum pipe and plate: $53
(steel would have been Much cheaper $.75/lb vs $3.50/lb but it was all they had.
Total: $367
Flasks vary a lot in cost depending on the size. pumps also vary in price. and of course steel would be cheaper too.
