Today I am beating the proverbial "dead horse" that still seems to be breathing. Can two guitars with very different specs produce wildly different tones when using the exact same pickup? Do factors such as wood, scale and construction of the neck create a compound effect on how pickups sound? Or do certain things matter more in the grand scheme of guitar tone?
I take the same P-90 and put it in two different guitars and play some riffs. Additionally, I test out a Fishman Modern in both guitars for the metalheads in the crowd!
