Do You Hear Them Calling

Another from our Covid Days, or should I say Covid Daze. These were done 2020-2021, prior to my Thoracic Aorta Dissection and trip in a Life Flight helicopter at 02:30 on the 28th of March, 2022. That took all I had and the excellent Cardiovascular Team at Piedmont Atlanta, to survive & rehabilitate; and live to write again. I mention it because I can't recall making any of those videos from those times. I recently came across them on my PC. I suppose my inability to recall these is a result of my long unconsciousness while undergoing the operations that have enabled me to be here today. Another very good reason to be supportive of liberal thought, without which that operation, among most everything else we enjoy these days, would not have existed, and I'd no longer be with you. That's right, I'm a 73 year old hippy musician that also worked 34 years in the Telecom Industry as an Operations Manager, then Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Transport Network, all that and I am NOT A CONSERVATIVE, but I AM A LIBERAL, and I am liberal based on knowledge and a hell of a lot of study. And no, I've never been close to a "snowflake" but I was drafted and served. (My year, 1972, was the first to be denied a college deferment.) Since I actually did make the Dean's List my first year of college, prior to being drafted, I could have used such a deferment. They stopped calling up draftees after that year. I've always been lucky like that. But I was drafted, and due to my test results when I was sworn in July, 1972, I was sent though the 7 month long Nike Herc Electronic Guidance School after Basic. I maintained the electronic guidance system of the Nike Herc Nuclear Missiles for NATO in West Germany. A beautiful but deadly missile that was used as a defensive weapon. It was an effective deterrent. I suppose I had to be drafted to take trump's place after his daddy got him out of the draft. Poor little snowflake, he didn't want to be drafted; he didn't want to serve his country like so many of the rest of us had to do and did it out of respect for our country and willingness to do our part, to earn our place within this country. Some folks never earn a damn thing and trump is their cheerleader. The song hints at something threatening, but is it something threatening or is it someone having difficulty with their cognitive abilities. Perhaps its a description of a hermit consulting themselves. Whatever it is, they're convinced its calling, it will be falling, and they will have to let it in. Or perhaps its all a metaphor?
