Does a block heater help? Yes! (Cat cold start)

This is a short video showing a cold start on this 21F morning. The engine is a Caterpillar 3208, which has no glow plugs or intake air heater...so the block heater is a must-have item in cold weather. The heater's been on for 2 hours and 20 minutes. The truck is a 1989 Ford C8000, which started life as a road painting truck for the Iowa DOT. Since it only painted roads in the summer, it had no block heater.
