Does God Have a Plan
Does God Have a Plan? (Biblical Perspective) Yes. The Bible consistently teaches that God has a purposeful plan that He is carrying out through history. This plan originates with God, centers on His glory, and is focused on the redemption of the earth through His Son, Jesus Christ. God declares that His purpose will stand and cannot be frustrated: “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9–11). From the beginning, God revealed His intention to fill the earth with His glory and establish righteousness (Numbers 14:21; Habakkuk 2:14). Central to God’s plan is Jesus Christ, who was foreordained before the foundation of the world but revealed in due time (1 Peter 1:19–20; Acts 2:23). Through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, God provides forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life (Romans 5:8–10; 1 Corinthians 15:21–22). God’s plan also includes the establishment of His Kingdom on earth, when Jesus will reign as King and God’s will shall be done worldwide (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:10; Revelation 11:15). This future Kingdom fulfills the promises made to Abraham and David (Genesis 12:2–3; 2 Samuel 7:12–16; Luke 1:32–33). Believers are invited to align their lives with God’s purpose now, becoming part of His plan through faith, obedience, and hope (Ephesians 1:9–11; Romans 8:28; Hebrews 11:6).
