This is a simple test you can do at home where you use a tea strainer or a microfilter to rub off the micro fines on your beans. Yes micro fines ... again, but the importance of testing is to see it. This will technically be a 2 part video since I'll be talking about just the fines afterwards and where I think the flavours really come from. No it's not necessary, it doesn't always make the coffee "better" but it does help us learn and it's an easy to see test.
