It was recently discovered that the DMX sound library used by the Doom games contained a little-known feature which allows a game to use specially crafted MIDIs as sound effects. With a little ingenuity, an enterprising team of Doom hackers managed to convert the existing PC speaker sound effects into MIDI versions. Here, all sound effects are being played using MIDI patch #1, the Acoustic Grand Piano.
