Doreen helped transform the Fisherman's Friend lozenge company into a global enterprise. It currently sells about five billion lozenges a year and made her one of the wealthiest women in the UK. She's buried in the centre of Fleetwood, the town she loved so much she donated her fortune to its upkeep.
