Showcase of some of the unreleased/prototype items in Dota 2. The information for this video has been sourced from the Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki and from the game files of Dota 2 (notably: items.txt, neutral_items.txt and abilities_english.txt). Liquipedia also has entries for items that were not showcased in this video. If you want to try out these items for yourself, you can do so in a custom lobby or demo mode. Most of the unreleased neutral items can be spawned in with the "-item" command, for example if you want to try out the Barricade item, just type in the chat "-item barricade". Some items have a different internal name from their actual in-game name, and these internal names can be found on Liquipedia. For some purchaseable items, I was only able to spawn them in a custom game mode, with the items manually added to "npc_items_custom.txt" with the "IsObsolete" variable set to "0".
