Doubletop Guitar construction

This is how an why I am doing my doubletop guitars. A doubletop guitar has a top that consists out of two extremely thin pieces of spruce with a 'Nomex' layer in between. There are several reasons to make a doubletop guitar. The main reason is, that it makes the guitar more responsive by making the top about 25% lighter. It also makes the guitar more resilient to damage like cracks and hits and prevents it from reacting to humitity changes to much. I am also using a litte twist in my construction that I haven't seen before. By laminating the pieces I use a dish to give it a 3Dimensional shape that makes the top stiff enought, so I would need no extra bracing! Note that this is the current state of how I am doing it and I will continue to experiment and try out new ways.
